Back from The Shelf

After having the blog shelved for just about 8 months now, the patriot has returned. A lot of things have happened since I last posted. We are now mired in what looks to be a statistical dead heat in the race for the White House event though socialist Barack Hussein Obama already thinks he has moved in.

John McCain, the Republican nominee has been John McCain. His VP pick on the other hand has been a breath of fresh air and the more I see the socialists attack her and try to destroy her, it means she is a serious threat to them.

Damn it’s good to be back

A Question for you Senator Obama

In tonights CNN debate, you stated (I am paraphrasing until I get the transcript), that we spend 2.7 billion dollars in aid to Latin America and we spend that in one day in Iraq. What is your point? You think we should just keep giving aid money to Latin America? You say that the Iraqi government needs to take control of their country and you want to pull all of our troops out.

Do you want the leaders of Latin America to take control of their countries, therefore not needing 2.7 billion of our tax dollars?

Do you think the leaders of the countries of Africa and Asia should take control of their countries so that they will not need our tax dollars?

In other words, do you want the same for countries around the world that you want for Iraq?

McCain-Huckabee Smoke Filled Backroom Politics in West Virginia

John McCain’s campaign displayed what was expected of it today in West Virginia, typical politics from a broken system. What was very surprising was the Huckabee campaign’s willingness to participate in the darkside of a scary political machine.

The the first round of the West Virginia caucus ended with no candidate achieving the 50% of votes needed to win.

Round one looked like this:

Romney = 464

Huckabee = 375

McCain = 176

Paul = 118

In West Virginia, if no candidate reaches 50% they go to round two minus the last place candidate, so Paul is done after round one.

Round Two shaped up like this:

Huckabee: 567

Romney: 521

McCain: 12

“Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic reported Tuesday that, after the first ballot, McCain’s campaign called his supporters there and urged them to vote in favor of Huckabee.”

I can honestly say that this kind of campaigning was completely expected of McCain, but for Huckabee to allow his to be sucked in and tarnished, was not expected. As has been said before, McCain will do anything to be President. You can expect more of this “gutter politics” from McCain and as a nominee, you can expect him to throw the conservatives of our party right under the bus.

Huckabee was always in contention for my vote and now his acceptance of this back room move, makes me proud that I voted for Romney. Now we see in reality that a vote for Huckabee is truly a vote for McCain.

I Voted For Mitt Romney, You Should Too

Go Mitt!!

I filled in the bubble for Mitt Romney during the Florida primary because I believe his the best choice for America and that he has the morals and standards that this country needs. He has experience that can lead our economy and he has the fortitude to lead our country in the war on terror. He is the true conservative in this race and I believe he has the best chance when running against the far left views of Barack Obama and the wishy washy views of a crying Hillary Clinton.

To me, he represents what I believe the Republican party should be. He doesn’t entertain offers to join with the liberals on every policy.
